Add expected salary to your profile for insights Reporting to the General Manager Performance Management Services, this role is key to supporting the strategic and financial success of the Group. Bank of Queensland is investing in a significant digital transformation whilst also strengthening the Group via continuous improvement governance uplift programs and regulatory change programs. The Head of Performance Management is responsible for supporting the Financial Performance Management of the BOQ Group. The role will ensure that the enterprise-wide financial performance and outlook are well understood and communicated to senior leadership and will help identify and drive the performance imperatives. Specifically, you will be accountable for leading and uplifting a high quality finance function covering performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting, transfer pricing, financial governance and commercial insights. The role requires the formation of close working relationships across Group Finance, Treasury, Product and Strategy and will require strong collaboration, influencing, stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. As the Head of Performance you will be detail orientated, commercial and hands-on when required, while also having the capability to operate at the strategic level to support senior leadership in managing the business. You will build and develop the team to ensure financial processes are increasingly effective and efficient, team engagement remains high, stakeholders are appropriately supported and the function is considered to be very high performing. About you The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Finance or Accounting, with additional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA being highly desirable. They should have very strong experience in a senior leadership role within the finance sector of a large financial services organization. A strong understanding of financial management concepts specific to the banking sector is essential. The candidate should be an exceptional leader with robust board and external financial reporting capabilities. They must also have a solid grasp of transfer pricing methodologies and possess strong problem-solving skills. The role requires the individual to act as a principal finance support, trusted advisor, and strategic consultant within the performance management team, while maintaining sound financial governance and accountability. Strong senior stakeholder management skills are crucial, along with exceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully manage people and change initiatives. The candidate should have the ability to gather, manipulate, and analyze data, and work at a detailed level without losing sight of the big picture. Proficiency in Excel would be a distinct advantage, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative, authentic, and dynamic approach is necessary, as the candidate will be a strategic and proactive leader and change agent.
