With a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering trading technology directly to clients and via our network of strategic partners, we are looking for an experienced Producer to join our team to create and manage high-performing video content that services all our internal stakeholders and regional marketing teams. The Company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and has support offices in the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Bahamas. As the Head of Platform Engineering, you will lead the architecture, development, and ensure a seamless path to production for our new derivatives trading platform. Supported by a dedicated team of developers, engineers, and project management professionals you will focus on ensuring the platform is optimised for low-latency performance, scalability, resiliency, and security. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of the derivatives trading platform to ensure scalability, low-latency performance, resiliency, and security. Oversee the entire path to production, including CI/CD pipelines, testing environments, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and seamless delivery. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of developers, engineers, and project management professionals, fostering collaboration and technical excellence. Actively contribute to system development, particularly in complex areas such as low-level networking, concurrency, and I/O operations. Implement best practices in system monitoring, performance optimisation, and incident response to ensure high availability and operational resilience. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with strategic business objectives and ensure smooth feature rollouts. Champion rigorous quality assurance, secure development practices, and robust testing to deliver fault-tolerant and compliant systems. Drive innovation by adopting new technologies, improving processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team. Who are you? Demonstrated ability to lead and manage software development teams. A strong track record of project delivery in high-stakes environments. Extensive experience with Golang in coding and systems architecture. Hands-on capability with complex system components. Deep understanding of low-level networking, I/O, concurrency in Go, and proficiency with Golang's testing and benchmarking frameworks. Advanced skills in concurrent programming, utilising atomic operations and sync mechanisms effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence and foster a team environment that embraces diverse ideas and feedback. Proficiency in C++ or other relevant programming languages is highly desirable. Ability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management level. Demonstrated history of implementing innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives within technological and business processes.
