Where the team fits in The Advertising and Value team looks after all the Advertising and associated Value delivery across 4 key markets: 1) Residential, 2) Commercial, 3) Developer, and 4) Media. We are approximately 130 people and are spread across Product, Design and Technology. What the role is all about The Head of Design is a senior leader at REA Group. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading Product Design leaders and individual contributors across a high impact and complex product portfolio. Deeply understand the dynamics and constituents across multiple markets, using this knowledge to help translate business strategy into product strategy. Shape and execute on our product strategy in partnership with other leaders, translating it into action which drives measurable results. Contribute to our product strategy by building out a future vision for our experiences, which is cohesive and complimentary. Drive the design direction of our products within the portfolio and influence more broadly across the REA Group. Foster a culture and practice of design excellence, ensuring our ways of working, design practices and methodologies are fit for purpose. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for that special spark! You’re also a good fit if you’re hungry to learn the ins and outs of Design at REA. You should have: Experience in the design industry and leading design teams. A background in design with a strong eye for quality. A strategic mindset and a hands-on approach. Strong people leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and growing design talent. Innate curiosity and a love of learning. A growth mindset, resilience, and an understanding of driving change in an organisation at scale.
