About the role As the Head of Project Delivery, you will lead a large team of project management, design, and construction professionals to drive delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of Glen Eira City Council’s annual capital works program. This role is instrumental in achieving Council’s long-term goals by ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and sustainability. You will oversee project management across civil, open space, and building portfolios, while providing strategic and operational leadership. By fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders, you will ensure best project management methodologies are embedded throughout the organisation. Other responsibilities include: Implement and enhance project delivery systems, governance, templates and effective reporting frameworks for infrastructure capital works project. Collaborate with internal business units to enhance project management quality. Oversee Council's long term, annual and monthly project progress and financial expenditure. Lead Project Managers and Engineers, implement professional developments, as well as drive a culture of continuous improvement. About you You are an experienced and dynamic leader with a strong passion for excellence and innovation, you excel in managing diverse teams, fostering collaboration, ensuring successful outcomes for all stakeholders. The following is also required: Tertiary qualification in Engineering and Project Management or related discipline. Compliance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019. Substantial experience in project planning, delivery and management. Substantial experience in leading capital project delivery in local government sector. Well-developed computer skills especially using Microsoft Windows applications and Project Management Software. Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
