About Us We are a leading medical device company committed to improving patient outcomes through innovation and excellence and are now seeking a Head of R&D to lead our cutting-edge research and development initiatives. The Role As the Head of R&D , you will be at the forefront of new product development , regulatory strategy, and technological advancements in spinal devices . You will drive innovation, oversee a high-performing R&D team, and ensure compliance with domestic and international medical device regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle , from concept to commercialisation. Develop and execute the R&D strategy in alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with surgeons, engineers, and regulatory bodies to develop innovative spinal solutions. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory bodies i.e. ISO 13485, ARTG . Drive a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement . Manage budgets, resources, and strategic partnerships . Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in spinal devices. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: 15+ years’ experience in the medical device industry , with a strong focus on implants and technologies . A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field . Proven leadership experience in R&D, new product development, and regulatory compliance . Deep understanding of biomechanics, materials science, and surgical applications . Experience working with regulatory bodies and global market approvals. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Passion for innovation and improving patient outcomes . What’s in it for You?
