Head of Retail Acquisitions and Property Management Are you ready to make your mark with an innovative, forward-thinking business? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Retail Acquisitions and Property Management to lead and expand an impressive property portfolio across Victoria. Working directly with the Managing Director, this newly created role is pivotal to driving strategic acquisitions, managing an extensive portfolio of 50+ freehold and leased properties, and delivering impactful development outcomes. As Head of Retail Acquisitions and Property Management , you’ll be at the forefront of a business focused on growth and excellence, shaping the future of their property network. Although flexibility forms part of the ethos of the business, the role is based in their offices, with travel and no WFH. Your Key Responsibilities Growth-Focused Leadership : Identify, evaluate, and negotiate property acquisitions and leases to fuel expansion. Strategic Property Management : Oversee relocations, redevelopments, and portfolio optimisation for maximum impact. End-to-End Development : Lead developments from concept to completion, coordinating projects across diverse locations. Relationship Building : Develop trusted partnerships with developers, real estate agents, and vendors. Commercial Savvy : Negotiate complex lease and purchase agreements while managing budgets and financial outcomes. Data-Driven Insights : Analyse market trends, urban planning data, and strategic site opportunities. The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for a seasoned retail acquisitions and property professional who is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll have a proven history in asset management and site development, ideally within retail or hospitality sectors (experience in QSR, Fuel or childcare is essential!). If you’re driven to deliver results and thrive in a high-performing, entrepreneurial environment, this is the role for you. What You Bring: Experience : in a similar role, supported by a degree in Property Economics or a related field is ideal. Negotiation Expertise : Proven ability to secure deals and navigate complex contracts. Experience : 10+ years in a similar role, supported by a degree in Property Economics or a related field is ideal. Retail Pad Site Acquisitions; acquisitions of sites for the purpose of new build freestanding stores. Analytical Precision : A detail-oriented approach with strong financial acumen. Relationship Skills : Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Leadership Drive : Confidence to lead projects independently while collaborating within a tight-knit team. A typical range on offer is between $200k-$220k plus super, a fully expensed new company vehicle.
