Mercy Community is seeking an experienced Head of Risk and Compliance on a Permanent Full-Time basis based at our Nudgee office. The Head of Risk and Compliance will provide strategic leadership and drive strategic initiatives that enhance risk management practices to embed a culture of risk awareness and compliance management across Mercy Community. The role will contribute to Mercy Community’s understanding of the management of risk to enable the achievement of strategic outcomes aligned to our organisational strategy and goals. Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation, with salary packaging available. This role will include: Developing, implementing and operationalizing a comprehensive enterprise risk management strategy aligned with organisational goals and values, including establishing a risk management program with identified deliverables, milestones and due dates, to embed a positive risk culture in the organisation. Monitoring and reporting on performance under the risk management strategy and identifying and ensuring implementation of continuous improvement measures. Providing strategic oversight to organisational continuous quality improvement. Overseeing the Risk Management platform, and ensuring that the organisation is operating within its risk appetite. Establishing and leading a streamlined, compliance approach across operations and corporate services. Leading third line assurance activities across operations and corporate services. About you As the successful applicant, you will possess: Completed Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Risk Management or Law. Experience in managing and leading enterprise risk management, compliance, and assurance. Extensive experience in implementing frameworks, policies, and systems to mitigate risks and enhance business resilience. Experience in leading investigations and conflict of interest management. Experience working in an Aged Care and/or Community Service is desirable.
