Department: Recreation & Fitness Type: Casual Posted: 28 February 2025 Closes: 12 March 2025 THE ROLE YMCA SA is seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated instructors to work within our Health and Fitness areas. We are currently seeking qualified Group Fitness Instructors and Health and Fitness Instructors to join our team and work at Fleurieu Aquatic Centre and across the Resthaven programs. As a Group Fitness Instructor, reporting to the Health and Fitness Director, you will: Deliver high quality Group Fitness classes within all prescribed program formats / guidelines Ensure the required Group Fitness Studio is set up and class is ready to start as per scheduled time, and studio is packed up at end of class Ensure the Health & Safety of all participants Foster a sense of belonging and build rapport with participants As a Health and Fitness Instructor, reporting to the Health and Fitness Director, you will: Work as a team member to provide the very best health and fitness advice through consultation in a friendly atmosphere Supervise all Health Club users, providing technical advice, support and encouragement Ensure all Health Club users are conforming to Health Club etiquette guidelines Conduct safe, appropriate and effective programs that are within your scope of practice General cleaning and tidying of Health Club and areas associated with your work area ABOUT THE Y YMCA South Australia is a not-for-profit community organisation that has served the South Australian community for more than 170 years. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Successful candidates for our Group Fitness Instructor role will also have, or be willing to obtain: Cert III in Fitness and / or Les Mills GEL accreditation Successful candidates for our Health and Fitness Instructor role will also have, or be willing to obtain: The opportunity to join a leading provider of recreation, community, and children’s services.
