Health Information Data Quality Coordinator Immediate start in a healthcare organisation based in Macquarie University (North Ryde) on a full-time basis. About the Role: We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Data Quality Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services. In this role, you will be responsible for handling external requests for clinical information, including sending clinical notes to GPs and responding to information requests. You will manage the scanning and uploading of clinical documents, ensuring accurate and timely submission to the Ministry of Health for reporting purposes. Your responsibilities will also include validating documents and data, participating in quality improvement activities, and completing monthly statutory reporting and clinical indicators. Additionally, you will play a key role in monthly audits and maintaining procedure manuals and guides. Key Accountabilities include: Completion of external/internal requests for clinical information ensuring the highest level of customer service. Providing training, ongoing assessments and support for clinical and non-clinical staff in scanning and uploading of clinical documentation. Completion of monthly validation and submission of all statutory reporting requirements (PHISCo, HCP, PHDB and Cancer Registration), including communication with various areas where data cleansing is required. Coordination and delivery of clinical information as part of MQ Health's Collaborative Care arrangement. Monitoring and reporting on duplicate unit record numbers on a monthly basis ensuring each patient only has one assigned. Maintaining procedure manuals, quick guides and nomenclature guides for scanning and uploading (paper based clinical documentation). Scanning and uploading clinical documents as necessary. Registering and archiving documentation for all areas. Performing monthly quality audits in line with Department Business Plan. To Apply: To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirement in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter: Previous experience in roles within a Medical Records or Health/Clinical Information Services Team. Proven experience in using computerised patient administration systems and electronic health record applications. Sound knowledge of state and federal privacy and confidentiality legislations and regulations. Strong understanding of medical terminology and its application in clinical documentation. Well-developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement in process efficiency and service delivery. Previous experience in extracting and validating data for inpatient Statutory reporting.
