In this rewarding opportunity, you will join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as an experienced Clinical Coder at our Albert St location in East Melbourne. It’s an exciting time to be joining the St Vincent’s Private Hospital group in Melbourne with the expansion of our Fitzroy campus now complete and renovations of the old building underway. We have recently implemented a Meditech EMR. There is the possibility of this role becoming permanent once the renovations at Fitzroy are completed and our services are extended. There is also the opportunity to pick up additional hours coding for our interstate teams. Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Accurate and timely coding of separations using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and the Australian Coding Standards as well as relevant state and national advice Liaise with relevant staff to obtain additional information required to perform accurate coding Be able to manage and prioritise own work Actively participate in education, training and quality activities. Critical to this role is a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and efficient time management skills.
