Job Description

Health Intelligence Lead - Regional Health Collaborative • Lead the establishment of a whole health system Health Intelligence Service. • Apply sophisticated data analysis capabilities using Microsoft products and statistical programmes. • Establish and manage data governance arrangements with key stakeholders. This is a temporary full-time opportunity for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension. The Health Intelligence Lead – Regional Health Collaborative will establish a Health Intelligence Service across West Moreton and Darling Downs regions. The role has a whole of health system remit where integrated data from across primary care, general practice, Aboriginal Medical Services and Health and Hospital Services will be used to enable informed decision making about health system priorities and solutions. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Knowledge of health information systems, in particular, general practice clinical software and Queensland based public hospital data systems would be highly regarded. Advanced abilities in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or Artificial Intelligence Applied Mathematics, including experience in coding and modelling (e.g., SQL, Python). Sophisticated data analysis capabilities using Microsoft products and statistical programmes (i.e. PowerBI and R or similar visualisation tools like Tableau) including the ability to draw insights and triangulate information using qualitative and quantitative information. Experience in all aspects of data governance and ability to apply this to both centralised and decentralised models. Ability to anticipate and manage the concerns and expectations of key stakeholders and use high level negotiation and communication skills to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome. Excellent written communication skills including data visualisation, briefings and reports and well refined verbal communication skills including the ability to deliver key messages on complex models and analysis to non-technical stakeholders in an impactful way. Mandatory Requirements: Tertiary qualifications (Masters or above) in a relevant field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Science will be highly regarded. This position may be required to work across the various Hospital and Health Service facilities (including the Primary Health Network's offices in Springfield and Toowoomba) throughout the West Moreton Health and Darling Downs Health regions.
