Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Health Safety Compliance Administrator who is responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role involves monitoring and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal laws related to workplace safety and employee well-being. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance : Ensuring the organization meets all safety regulations and standards set by authorities such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) in the U.S., or other local governing bodies. Risk Assessment : Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and implementing strategies to minimize or eliminate risks. Policy Implementation : Developing, implementing, and updating health and safety policies and procedures. Training and Education : Conducting training sessions for employees to promote safety awareness and proper emergency procedures. Incident Investigation : Investigating workplace accidents, identifying their causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Recordkeeping : Maintaining records of safety audits, incident reports, training logs, and inspections. Auditing and Inspections : Regularly reviewing and inspecting workplace conditions to ensure they meet health and safety standards. Emergency Preparedness : Ensuring the organization has adequate plans in place for emergencies, including evacuations and first-aid responses. Skills Needed: Knowledge of Safety Regulations : In-depth understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to workplace safety. Attention to Detail : Ability to spot potential hazards and take preventative action. Communication Skills : Clearly communicating safety procedures and regulations to staff and management. Problem-Solving : Ability to address safety concerns and develop solutions. Organizational Skills : Managing multiple tasks, including audits, training, and documentation, simultaneously. Qualifications: A degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field. Certifications such as QHS.
