Then we have the position for you! Join a H&PE Learning Specialist and a second H&PE teacher in teaching H&PE to the students as a Specialist subject at our school. Located on beautiful Wurundjeri Country, Strathtulloh Primary School has been educating with HEART since 2022. We are a brand-new state of the art school, located in the suburb of Strathtulloh. We opened in January 2022 with 710 students already growing to over 1400 students and now employing over 160 staff. Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated high level of knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. SC2 Demonstrated high level of ability to plan for and implement high impact teaching strategies. SC3 Demonstrated high level of ability to monitor and assess student learning. SC4 Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills. SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. Role The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2. The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes. Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to: Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students; Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area; Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal; Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions; Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
