BHP is ramping up and looking to employ Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters for ASAP positions or ready to deploy in the first quarter of 2025. Heavy Diesel Fitters with digger and/or drill experience will be highly regarded. This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster. FIFO from Perth. The field service team mobilizes to where required across our BHP Pilbara Iron Ore Operations. These roles are predominantly shutdown-based, with exposure to Liebherr R9400, R996, 9600, and our Epiroc PV271 fleet. Responsibilities include: Shutdowns Planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of Liebherr R9400, R996, 9600, and Epiroc PV271 fleet. Carrying out inspections and repairs on equipment as per maintenance strategies. Executing work orders as per schedule, to a high standard. Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work. Contributing to a positive team culture, always working to a high degree of safety. Assisting with the mobilization of Field Maintenance assets and containers between sites. About You Trade Qualified in Heavy Diesel Mechanics is essential. Previous experience in mining and field services is desirable. Liebherr and Epiroc knowledge is highly regarded. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Team-focused, with a high regard for safety. Strong ability to work remotely and autonomously. What is on offer?
