Full Time Diesel Mechanic Opportunity! Programmed is looking for Diesel/Plant Mechanics to join our client, a family-owned and operated business based in Braeside, Victoria. About the Role: Programmed are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will apply your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and service equipment for breakdowns and field service. You'll also support the mobilization and demobilization of machinery, assist with equipment dispatch and receivables, and collaborate with outside service teams as needed. Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and service for breakdowns and field service work. Assist with mobilizing and demobilizing machines. Help with equipment dispatch and receivables. Observe, evaluate, and assist external service repair and maintenance as required. Flexibility to work occasional overtime and adjust to varied schedules. To be Considered for the Role, You Will Need: An Australian-recognized trade qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent). At least 2 years of industry experience post-qualification. A current Australian driver's license (minimum C-class). A commitment to working safely and efficiently. A strong work ethic with a proven track record of reliability. Familiarity with service reporting and service literature. A current police check. The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. A Forklift license is a bonus but not essential.
