High School Digital Learning Leader An exciting new opportunity is available for a passionate educator to be responsible for contributing to a positive and progressive culture of digital pedagogy in and beyond the classroom, and for the efficient integration of IT systems across the High School. This position is permanent full time with up to a 0.5 teaching load and 0.5 digital learning duties. The Digital Learning Leader will provide leadership, expertise and support in creating and using effective digital learning tools and environments across the High School. The Digital Learning Leader will take on a multi-faceted role within the high school, that includes but is not limited to the key areas outlined: Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop strategically identified whole school professional learning to empower teachers and enhance culture in the effective use of digital technologies in learning and authentic assessment. Collaborate with the Academic Leadership Team including Heads of Department as well as teachers in evaluating online resources and establishing best practice in instructional design and blended learning strategies. Train teaching and support staff as part of regular professional learning and when a new system is implemented. Train students outside of the formal curriculum (e.g. robotics, coding and other computational thinking activities). Be informed of current research and developments in digital learning tools and technology that is used in schools and communicate these in the College community. Training students and teaching staff (including induction of new staff) on school systems. Model and support the effective use of technologies to enhance and transform teaching, learning, assessment, feedback, data analysis, communication, creation, collaboration and operations. Create a learning environment where teachers gain confidence to experiment, deliver, and measure the effectiveness of digital learning experiences for students. Innovation and AI Understand and lead the integration of AI to enhance classroom learning and teaching. Engage with the latest research and educational trends in the area of digital technologies, pedagogy, applications, platforms and devices that support student and teacher learning, growth and development. Develop and promote the understanding and use of collaborative and AI technologies within the High School. Experience Required: NESA approved teaching qualification/accreditation. Valid Working with Children Check. Current CPR certification. 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Digital Learning training and innovation within an educational setting. Demonstrated strategic capability and experience to link the use of Digital Learning and pedagogy across the curriculum. Experience in supporting a complex ICT environment. High level IT Skills.
