This role is Darwin based with some national travel on a project-by-project basis. Applicants either need to live locally or be willing to relocate to Darwin NT. Powertech is happy to discuss relocation costs from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand. Job Description Commissioning, testing, and maintaining: HV Substations secondary systems and primary plant HV/LV Plant/Assets Power Generation Systems Power Transformers. Provide leadership, supervision, technical support, and training to technicians. Preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans, and create detailed technical reports on completion of works. Desired Skills and Experience Experience, skills and qualifications: Must hold Northern Territory Electrical License or Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced Diploma in Power Systems (highly regarded). HV Switching Ticket preferred. Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably. Knowledge and understanding of appropriate Australian and International Standards, as well as relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing. Power Station experience (highly regarded).
