We’re looking for a dedicated Market Garden Manager / Horticulturalist to oversee the growth of our farm’s market garden, providing fresh produce for our restaurants and creating a dynamic learning environment for staff and visitors. The Role As Market Garden Manager , you’ll be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our small scale market garden, from planning and planting to harvesting, processing, and delivery. You’ll apply regenerative farming techniques, ensure high standards of food safety, and lead a team of dedicated staff. You’ll also work closely with our chefs and management team to align production with culinary needs, and be responsible for the financial sustainability of the garden. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement long-term garden plans and seasonal calendars. Oversee planting, harvesting, processing, and storing of produce. Apply organic pest management and regenerative farming techniques. Manage water usage and ensure efficient resource management. Train and supervise staff on horticultural tasks and safety practices. Ensure food safety standards are met at all stages of production. Collaborate with chefs to meet culinary needs and gather feedback. Develop strategies to ensure the garden becomes financially self-sustaining. Lead property improvement projects to enhance functionality and aesthetics. What You’ll Bring: Strong knowledge of soil management, pest control, and crop cultivation. Experience managing staff, budgets, and garden operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to high-quality produce.
