Job Summary :The Hotel Director of Sales (DOS) / Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales department, ensuring the hotel meets or exceeds its revenue targets. The DOS will implement strategies to enhance the hotel's market position and customer base, focusing on corporate, leisure, and group sales. The role demands a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, exceptional leadership, and the ability to drive results in a competitive marketplace. Key Responsibilities : Sales Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue goals. Set sales targets, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as necessary. Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team, ensuring high performance and development. Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities. Revenue Generation Identify, pursue, and close sales leads in all key market segments, including corporate, group, and leisure. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel agents. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the hotel. Optimize the hotel’s pricing strategy to maximize occupancy and revenue. Marketing & Branding Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns and materials. Ensure brand consistency in all sales presentations, materials, and communication. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and drive sales. Reporting & Analysis Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities to the General Manager. Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities. Monitor and assess client satisfaction to ensure high levels of service and repeat business. Budgeting & Forecasting Develop annual sales budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with hotel goals. Track sales performance against budgets, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets. Work closely with the hotel operations team to ensure smooth coordination between the sales and service departments. Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and creativity. Qualifications : Proven experience as a Director of Sales or in a senior sales role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of hotel operations, sales strategies, and the local market. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making. Strong negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions : Full-time, with occasional travel and flexible hours to accommodate client meetings and events.
