About Us: Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers. Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany. Position Summary: This role focuses on leading and managing the development and delivery of the Community Care and Support Services teams. This role will have a strong understanding and commitment to Alzheimer’s WA’s mission, purpose and philosophy of care and will ensure that service delivery is based on evidence-based practice in a person-centred framework. As the dementia care experts, the ongoing development of this department, its services, staff and leadership play a critical role in Alzheimer’s WA’s future. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Operate in accordance with Alzheimer’s WA Code of Conduct, ethical standards, and protocols, while embracing the ethos philosophy, service standards, policies, and procedures of the organisation. Provide positive and professional management and support to ensure compliance with the organisation’s plans, policies, procedures, and governance requirements. Develop and maintain strong external stakeholder relationships, including liaising with Acute Hospital services, W.A. Country Health Service, the Great Southern Development Commission, the local Member of Parliament, and local councils, to strategically balance clinical respite services with external stakeholder management. Exercise initiative and problem-solving skills with some autonomy under the direction of the Head of Care Operations, where applicable. Have empathy and concern for the welfare of people with dementia, their families, carers, and others providing care and support to those living with dementia. Be highly organised and efficient, with the ability to skilfully manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining high-quality output and content. Lead and empower our Albany teams to deliver innovative, person-centred dementia care through evidence-based programs that align with organisational goals. Oversee training and support for staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of high performance and engagement. Develop and manage specialist services, ensuring efficient service delivery, accurate client records, and alignment with budget and service outputs. Build strong relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders, positively representing Alzheimer’s WA and its mission. Ensure safety and quality assurance by adhering to policies, responding to feedback, and maintaining compliance with legislative and accreditation standards. Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualification in Business or relevant qualification and/or extensive experience working with people living with dementia. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to balance clinical respite services and stakeholder management. National Police Clearance no older than six-months. Current WA Driver’s License. Full Working rights in Australia. Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Why Join Us?
