About the role Reporting to the General Manager at Cruise Whitsundays, the Human Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping a positive and forward-thinking employee experience that drives retention, development, and growth. This role is key to empowering the workforce, nurturing engagement, and working closely with leadership to foster a high-performing culture. The role of the HRM is to support the people in the best way possible so that they have all they need to be the best versions of themselves. This role may suit a Senior HR Advisor or Business Partner looking to step up for their first leadership role. We have a great leadership team at CWS who are employee-centric. We also have a full HR Operations team within the Journey Beyond group, ready to offer support and guidance in HR, Communications, Learning, Safety, and Payroll. To be successful in this role you will have / be Focus on engagement opportunities that increase employee motivation, job satisfaction, and commitment. Be visual in the operation and take action in response to staff feedback and ideas. Lead HR projects and initiatives that align people strategies with business goals, ensuring timely and effective implementation. Champion for team culture and the employee lifecycle to ensure compliance and growth. Qualifications in Human Resources or in a related discipline (essential). Minimum three (3) years in a Human Resource Business Partner/Manager role in a fast-paced, people-centric environment. Demonstrated experience in shaping key value-adding projects related to HR initiatives.
