This is an excellent opportunity to oversee HR operations and drive meaningful change across the business.About the Role As Human Resources & Safety Manager , you will lead a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development. Working closely with senior management, you will support both operational and strategic HR initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment and safety regulations.This role offers the chance to work in a hands-on capacity, driving improvements that directly impact organisational success.Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers and ensuring a seamless onboarding process. Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and conflicts, providing advice to managers on performance management and disciplinary actions. Policy & Compliance: Ensure the business complies with all employment laws and safety regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR policies and documentation. Training & Development: Identify training needs and deliver professional development programs to upskill employees and improve engagement. Performance Management: Lead performance review processes, coaching managers to enhance employee performance and retention. Safety & Well-being: Chair safety committee meetings and collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliance and a proactive approach to workplace safety. Key Competencies & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proactive, solution-focused approach to HR challenges.
