We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to join our team at one of our major clients' sites in Sunbury.Role Overview: As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing professional and customer-focused systems and support to the school community. Reporting to the Step Fwd IT ICT Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Windows desktop environment and assisting the school in achieving optimal educational outcomes through the use of ICT.Key Responsibilities Provide level 1 and 2 support to staff, students, and parents, with a growth mindset to develop level 3 support. Manage and log support requests through Step Fwd IT’s helpdesk system. Maintain up-to-date documentation of all systems and procedures. Collaborate with the team leader / ICT Manager to escalate and resolve complex issues. Offer strategic input into the management of the school’s ICT operations and infrastructure. Cultivate a culture of commitment and accountability within the ICT staff. Desired Skills & Experience3-5 years of practical experience with Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Windows Server. Proficiency in Windows Desktop and Office platforms. Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and virtualized environments such as Microsoft Hyper-V. Familiarity with Apple MacBook systems is highly advantageous. Experience with Student Information Systems and Learning Management Systems is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune, and Veeam Backup suite is desirable. AttributesExcellent planning and delivery capabilities. Exceptional time management skills.
