Our team undergoes continuous training and professional development to offer top-quality services. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site ICT System Engineer role located in North Sydney. The ICT System Engineer will be responsible for systems engineering, troubleshooting, system administration, technical support, and systems design on a day-to-day basis. Key Responsibilities System and Functional Requirements Management: Ensuring the identification, management, and fulfilment of system and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle (Design, Implementation, and Testing). Design Documentation: Developing and finalizing detailed design documentation, including Substantial Detailed Design and Final Detailed Design. System Interface Management: Identifying and managing system interfaces between subsystems and external systems in alignment with the project scope. System Engineering Activities: Participating in critical system engineering tasks such as system sizing calculations, RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) analysis, FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), and Cyber Security Assessments. ICT System Deployment and Maintenance: Deploying, testing, configuring, and upgrading ICT systems within the project scope. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnosing hardware and network system faults, evaluating solutions, and implementing effective resolutions. Testing and Validation: Ensuring timely and effective execution of testing processes to validate system performance. Technology Selection and Vendor Liaison: Recommending and assisting in the selection of appropriate technologies and products, and engaging with vendors as needed. Technical Compliance: Ensuring all equipment configurations adhere to technical specifications and project requirements. Subject Matter Expertise: Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas of specialization, providing guidance and support to the project team. Qualifications and Experience Technical Expertise: Proven experience with multi-server infrastructure, including virtualization, application clusters, Windows Server Operating Systems, Linux, VMware, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Exchange, Office 365, and virtualization technologies. Design and Implementation Skills: Significant experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting cutting-edge technology solutions. Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) are highly desirable. Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies. Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders. Educational Background: A degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical qualification. Documentation Skills: Exceptional ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation. Project Delivery Experience: Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering multiple projects. Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) industry, particularly in tunnel projects, will be highly regarded. What You’ll Be Involved In Systems Design and Review: Contributing to system design, conducting design reviews, and closing out comments. System Engineering Tasks: Participating in activities such as Safety in Design, RAM analysis, and FMECA. Verification and Validation: Supporting the verification and validation processes to ensure system integrity. Testing and Commissioning: Overseeing testing and commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements and Configuration Management: Managing requirements and configuration throughout the project lifecycle.
