We are expanding our operations in Australia and are currently recruiting an IDN National Manager, Security. As the IDN National Manager, Security, you will oversee the security and safety operations across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and contractual obligations. In this critical leadership role, you will manage operational risks, lead emergency response efforts, and maintain a secure and humane environment for detainees and staff. By driving continuous improvement and aligning with the Department of Home Affairs initiatives, you will shape strategic plans, oversee intelligence quality, and promote a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. You’ll also ensure the achievement of KPIs, manage budgets effectively, and foster a culture of safety and inclusivity. In your new role, you will: Lead national security operations, including the coordination of emergency response and oversight of operational risk profiles. Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and standards to safeguard detainees and staff. Provide strategic direction to your team, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Oversee the development of training programs to enhance skills and succession planning for team members. Promote workplace health and safety through compliance with standards and proactive strategies. Manage financial performance, including budgets and profit and loss responsibilities, in alignment with contract requirements. Ensure the effective delivery of intelligence products and quality control across operations. Develop and implement improvement strategies to meet organisational KPIs and contractual obligations. Exhibit strong cross-cultural awareness and excellent negotiation skills. ABOUT YOU You are a seasoned leader with extensive experience in security risk management and a proven ability to navigate complex operational environments. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you are committed to maintaining safety, integrity, and continuous improvement in your work. To be successful, you will: Hold senior management experience in security risk functions within detention, corrections, or other large-scale operational environments. Possess formal qualifications in immigration, corrections, or security management (or a related field). Gain and retain all police/security clearances required within our industry. Pass any required health assessments. Pass a working with children check. Visit and work within an immigration or regional processing centre. Travel interstate and overseas as required to meet business needs. Provide proof of double vaccination against Covid-19 with a vaccine recognised in Australia. Undergo alcohol and drug testing as required by the business.
