Job ID: J0325-0159 (Please quote job ID on resume when applying) Department: Information Technology Job Description The City of Abbotsford’s Information Technology Department is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join their IT leadership team as an IT Cybersecurity Manager. Reporting to the IT Director, you will lead the City’s cybersecurity program to safeguard the City’s digital services and maintain public trust. In this position, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the City is adhering to its cybersecurity framework and developing related policies and standards. Coordinating risk assessments and resulting improvements. Working closely with the City's contracted Security Operations Centre (SOC) to analyze threats and implement controls to mitigate risks. Spearheading Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning. Designing and managing security awareness programs and incident response plans. Leading the response to security incidents. Researching, evaluating and recommending current and emerging security solutions and best practices. Staying abreast of the latest security trends through active participation in professional networks and associations. Educational Requirements As the ideal candidate, you will have the following: A bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Possess a cybersecurity certification in at least one or a combination of the following: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including 5 years of experience providing cybersecurity services to medium or large-sized organizations.
