Added Thursday 23rd of January 2025 11:56:05 AM Milestone IT is partnering with an educational organisation to find a skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will involve providing essential IT support for staff and students, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with basic IT functions, including distributing laptops, setting up devices using Intune, and handling day-to-day administration tasks. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the IT infrastructure runs efficiently, making you an integral part of the team. Key Responsibilities: Distribute laptops and assist with hardware setups for students and staff. Set up and configure laptops using Intune, ensuring devices are properly enrolled and ready for use. Provide general IT support for staff, troubleshooting basic issues with hardware, software, and networks. Assist with maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies. Provide excellent communication and support to staff and faculty, ensuring timely resolution of any IT-related issues. Perform routine administrative tasks such as user account setup and permissions management. Key Requirements: Previous experience in IT Desktop Support, ideally in an educational setting. Proficiency with Intune for device management and setup. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with non-technical staff and faculty. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues quickly and efficiently. Organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A customer-first attitude and a willingness to help others with technical issues. Desirable Qualifications/Skills: Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and general networking principles.
