Location: Sydney CBD or Newcastle (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office, flexibility available)Salary Package: $150k to $160k + Super + Bonus (up to 15%)Role Overview: The Project Manager will take full ownership of managing the planning, execution, and delivery of various strategic projects in the insurance industry. Reporting to senior management, this role involves defining project scopes, budgets, and timelines while ensuring risk management and quality assurance. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams and engage key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes within scope, time, and budget.In addition to managing the technical aspects of the projects, the role will require you to ensure that all stakeholders, both internal and external, are aligned and kept informed of progress. You'll be expected to manage competing priorities, balance multiple projects simultaneously, and provide strategic insights to senior management. As you progress in the role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping long-term strategic initiatives and will likely be involved in driving operational improvements as part of ongoing transformation efforts.With a focus on technology-driven initiatives, this role will help the business streamline operations and integrate new systems. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving projects such as system integrations, process improvements, and supporting multi-year transformations. You will contribute to the alignment of project delivery with overall business goals, ensuring all efforts are in line with key strategic priorities, including business transformation and growth.Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, collaborating with key stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring milestones are achieved according to schedule. Manage cross-functional teams and external vendors to meet project objectives. Proactively monitor risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly. Ensure financial compliance by managing project budgets and tracking expenses. Facilitate communication and reporting with senior stakeholders and leadership. Lead post-project reviews to assess outcomes, document lessons learned, and recommend process improvements. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing complex technology-driven projects, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver successful outcomes. You must be proactive, autonomous, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. Experience within the insurance industry is highly desirable. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work under pressure are key to success in this role.You'll be a natural leader, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. A Project Management certification is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
