IT Service Owner - Education Systems Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for education technology and service management? We are seeking a dynamic IT Service Owner - Education Systems to lead the management and support of key education applications within a leading education network. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT services. About the Role As the IT Service Owner - Education Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the application delivery and support of a portfolio of education applications, including Canvas, Sirsi Dynix, LucidClear, and other bespoke in-house tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and a dedicated data team, to ensure the seamless operation of education platforms that support student services and business-as-usual (BAU) activities. Key Responsibilities Application Management: Oversee the service lifecycle of multiple SaaS-based education applications, ensuring alignment with ITIL practices and regulatory requirements. Service Delivery & Support: Lead application administrators and support teams in managing service requests, incidents, and changes through ServiceNow. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with schools, directorates, and external partners to define service roadmaps and drive continuous improvements. Leadership & Team Management: Build and guide a new team, mentor junior staff, and foster a strong service management culture. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement in systems and services, implementing strategic changes over the next 6 months to optimise service delivery. Hands-on Support: Stay flexible and proactive, ensuring operational needs are met, even during extended hours when required. About You We’re looking for a motivated IT professional who brings: Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in IT Service Management, ideally within the education or public sector. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a growing team. Expertise in SaaS applications and ITIL service management. Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to navigate complex government or education environments.
