Job Summary As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. You will provide top-notch L1/L2 support, maintain Windows Server environments, manage user accounts, and oversee asset management processes. Your proactive approach and a customer service mindset will be key as you collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support end users across the business. Key Responsibilities Helpdesk Support: Provide L1/L2 support for end users dealing with hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues. Utilize Jira to create, manage, and track helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation of technical issues. Server & Systems Administration: Maintain and deploy Windows Server environments and linux-based servers as required to ensure system reliability and performance. Administer user accounts and manage access permissions across various enterprise systems. Automation & Process Improvement: Implement automation solutions using scripting languages and/or low/no-code tools to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Monitor system and network performance using industry-standard tools, proactively addressing issues to maintain optimal uptime. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring the continued smooth operation of IT services. Asset & Inventory Management: Oversee the IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory management, and onboarding processes through the Asset and Network Infrastructure Management Enterprise system. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to plan, deploy, and support IT projects, ensuring that system enhancements align with business needs and security standards. Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of IT infrastructure, processes, and security practices. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Education & Certifications: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (BSc/BITC), or equivalent experience. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CCNA, NCE) are a plus. Technical Expertise: Cloud & Directory Services: Practical experience with Active Directory, Azure, Entra, and Intune deployments. Strong background in deploying and managing enterprise-grade cloud services. Server & Operating Systems Administration: Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022). Proficiency in managing Linux-based server environments (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu). Virtualization & Containerization: Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox VE). Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher). Networking & Security: Competence in configuring and managing network infrastructures, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs. Knowledge of IT security best practices, vulnerability assessments, and compliance standards. Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in automating routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, BASH). Familiarity with low/no-code tools (e.g., Power Automate, Logic Apps) to streamline processes. Ticketing & Issue Management: Experience using Jira to create, manage, and track helpdesk tickets, and project tasks, ensuring efficient resolution and escalation tasks. Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Experience with system monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and proactive issue resolution. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize both hardware and software systems effectively. Core Competencies: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
