Identity Specialist - ITS Infrastructure Operations Apply locations St Lucia Campus time type Full time posted on Posted 2 Days Ago job requisition id R-46019 Information Technology Services – Infrastructure Operations Full-time, fixed-term position until February 2026 Base salary will be in the range $111,154 - $124,619 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus About This Opportunity This role sits within the Identity Management team and serves as a Senior Technical resource for Identity Management systems and initiatives at UQ, providing advanced technical expertise in identity services. Key responsibilities will include: Cyber Security and Identity Leadership: Promote compliance with UQ's Cyber Security Policy and provide technical leadership for Identity systems, engaging with diverse stakeholders. Technical Ownership and Innovation: Act as the Technical Owner for critical Identity services and drive the adoption of new technologies to enhance Identity services. Project Management and Client Support: Manage significant Identity Management projects, provide expert advice on business processes, and ensure timely resolution of customer issues. Mentoring and Representation: Offer senior technical advice and mentoring to team members, and represent IT Services in non-technical matters, including staff selection and committees. About You Essential Qualifications in IT (or significant progress towards it) with extensive relevant experience, or equivalent education and training. Proven experience in business analysis, technical solution design, and consulting on IT projects with diverse stakeholders. Strong technical knowledge in Identity-related technologies, including directory services, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, cloud identity, Microsoft Active Directory, and certificate-based services. Extensive experience with one or more Identity-related technologies mentioned above. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, precise technical and user documentation. Proven ability to mentor team members and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and meet deadlines. Desirable: Experience in the higher education sector, DevOps practices and associated tools, experience with development and operations in enterprise-scale technology environments, and IaaS/PaaS technologies and services. You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
