Job Description

We are a dynamic and innovative ASX-listed company seeking an experienced In-House Lawyer to join our legal team in Drummoyne, Sydney. As a key member of our legal function, you will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel to ensure the seamless operation of our legal processes. Key Responsibilities: Legal Register Management: Maintain all Registers, including the Legal Register and ASIC Register, ensuring accuracy and compliance. ASIC Applications: Draft and maintain ASIC applications, demonstrating a keen understanding of regulatory requirements. Lease Documentation: Assist in the drafting and preparation of agreements for lease and lease documentation, participating in negotiations under the guidance of the Senior Legal Counsel. External Liaison: Act as a point of contact for external lawyers and stakeholders, fostering positive and collaborative relationships. Document Drafting: Create accurate and detailed legal correspondence and documents with a strong focus on attention to detail. Legal and Administrative Support: Provide effective legal and administrative support to the Senior Legal Counsel, ensuring that legal work is well-informed and supported by necessary background information. Legal Research: Conduct legal research and analysis as requested by the Senior Legal Counsel, contributing to innovative approaches in legal advice provision. Diverse Legal Assistance: Assist the Senior Legal Counsel in various legal matters, including Employment, Education and Care Services, National Law, litigation, business transactions, family law, migration matters, property law, corporate law, governance, regulatory issues, and general advice. Qualifications / Experience: 2-3 Years In-House Lawyer Experience: Ideally, the candidate will possess at least 2-3 years of experience in an in-house legal team or private practice. Required Skills: Legal Analysis: Ability to analyse and understand a broad range of legal requirements and apply them across the business. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Communication Skills: Clear, effective, and timely communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Adaptability: Be adaptable, resilient, and agile, maintaining a high level of professionalism when communicating with team members and stakeholders. Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing timeframes, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
