This exciting role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe and provide critical communications support during incidents that pose reputational and brand risks. As the Incident and Crisis Communications Manager , you'll be at the heart of our crisis response, working alongside key departments to provide strategic communication advice, draft timely and accurate messaging, and ensure our commitment to customers remains front and center. Key Responsibilities: Crisis Communications Leadership: Represent communications as part of a cross-functional incident response team, addressing real-time issues in the APAC timezone, and implementing crisis communication protocols to safeguard our brand reputation. Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with Legal, Customer Support, Engineering, and other regional teams to craft accurate, consistent messaging that aligns with our values and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to customers. Proactive Communication Development: Contribute to customer communications, blog posts, and communication playbooks, ensuring proactive messaging is always at the ready. Media Engagement: Collaborate with PR to manage regional media inquiries, leveraging approved statements and shaping the narrative during crises. Availability During High-Severity Events: Occasionally be available after hours to support critical incidents in coordination with the US-based team. Key Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in reputation management, with at least 5+ years in crisis communications. Experience in enterprise tech/SaaS environments is essential, with a background in security communications a plus. Proven ability to manage high-profile incidents and juggle multiple crises simultaneously. Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical issues for various audiences (customers, partners, media). Expertise in media relations, especially working with technology journalists and managing media inquiries. A proactive, collaborative mindset, and experience working across a highly distributed organization. A “how-can-I-help” attitude with a focus on getting things done. Crisis Communication Expertise: Crafting crisis communication plans and simplifying complex technical details into clear, audience-tailored messaging. Team Collaboration: Seamlessly working with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated communication efforts. Outstanding Writing Skills: Ability to produce concise, compelling communication materials under pressure.
