Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be leading the Civil, Roads and Works team to maintain and construct parks and gardens, manage waste collection, transfer and disposal works, as well as oversee roads, footpaths, and drainage. Position Requirements: Exemplary leadership and communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective risk management and regulatory compliance Self-starter, proactive, and able to motivate teams Sound knowledge of plan and design interpretation Experience in road, footpath, and drainage construction and maintenance works Experience in waste collection, transfer, and disposal works C and HR class driver's licences Current White Card (Construction Safety Induction) Strong connection to and knowledge of the local Indigenous Community Desirable Candidate Attributes and Approach: Knowledge of local area and working conditions Formal training/studies in the road construction/maintenance field Formal training/studies in supervision/management Formal training/studies in parks and gardens/waste management fields At least 10 years' practical work experience within the works and services department of a Local Government At least 5 years' practical supervisory experience Application Requirements: Candidates will be screened by IWS and will need to apply through the IWS link.
