The Role The mycar Procurement function continues its transformation journey to embed Category & Sourcing best practices and drive commercial efficiencies through robust corporate governance. In this newly created role, you will support the Head of Procurement to initiate and implement the Procurement framework across Indirect categories, which includes but is not limited to Marketing, Call Centre, Finance, Facilities, HR, IT, Fleet, Travel, Consultants, and other Corporate & Professional Services. This role will also support the training of mycar’s Indirect Purchasing Playbook (IPP) & lead mycar business owners towards embedding a culture of compliance through adherence to Continental’s Procurement rules, policies, and processes. Key Responsibilities Developing and executing category strategies; planning and spearheading complex negotiations; managing end to end strategic sourcing / RFP activities; supplier KPI development; providing detailed and commercially astute analysis; applying ESG principles; and leading & influencing stakeholders. Being an advocate and helping educate team members towards compliance in line with Procurement policy and all other company policies and procedures. Engaging with Continental Global & Regional Procurement colleagues, business stakeholders, and supplier representatives to achieve maximum value for mycar. Helping prepare new contracts, variations/amendments (terms, pricing, scope, KPI etc.) and utilizing the application of contract lifecycle management systems. Identifying short- & long-term cost-out opportunities and meeting or exceeding annual savings targets. Investigating AI trends and possible adaptation/integrations into Procurement best practice. The successful candidate will have: A minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience or other related disciplines. Ideally, a degree in Economics, Business Administration and/or Engineering or Diploma in Procurement/Purchasing or Supply Chain. The ability to demonstrate financial literacy, deep knowledge, and understanding of business drivers and external markets. Understanding elements that comprise the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Strong influence and relationship management skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Foresight to help identify new or emerging challenges and develop mitigation plans. The ability to autonomously prioritize competing tasks and manage time efficiently.
