The opportunity The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating new business, prospecting, canvassing and selling our large portfolio of products, solutions and services. We are looking for a talented and competitive Technical Sales Engineer that thrives in a highly competitive sales cycle environment. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our revenue growth objectives in the Industrial Automation segment. You must be comfortable monitoring and managing leads and contacts within CRM tools, working directly with customers, consultants, partners and suppliers, prospecting for businesses and contacts within target markets and assisting order processing. Must be able and prepared to travel interstate as required depending on the location of the projects and customers. Responsibilities and Tasks The development and implementation of sales strategies and plans to develop new and maintain existing business. Maintain key business relationships with existing clients. Establishing relationships within the customer base to understand the customer's business driving factors. Providing application knowledge and manage sales activities through a consultative sales approach. Supplying accurate market / opportunity / activity information through the CRM. Review potential new customers to support penetration into the local automation market. Experience, Qualifications and Skills required: Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Automation Control engineering. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales within an industrial market. Knowledge of Industrial Automation: VSDs, Servo, PLC, HMI, Robots is desired. A self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment. Sales Professional with a strong sales process & CRM user. A consultative selling approach with the ability to sell value.
