To learn more about the National Institute of Technology, visit our website: ABOUT THE JOB We seek a passionate and experienced professional to coordinate internship placements and deliver employability skills training as part of our Professional Year Programs. These programs empower international graduates from Australian universities and tertiary institutions with practical job skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Actively develop industry relationships to source appropriate host companies for internship placements. Manage and maintain relationships with existing internship host companies. Attend or participate in industry forums, fairs, university open days and other appropriate industry events to identify potential host companies and share information with the NIT team and potential candidates. Interview and shortlist participants for relevant internship opportunities. Facilitate internship briefing sessions for internship candidates. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful delivery of the internships. Visit host organisations to monitor the placed interns' progress, and support interns and host companies. Coach and train the participants in employability skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication, and job search strategies. This full-time position requires working 38 hours per week, including working on Saturdays and attending industry events during the evenings. SELECTION CRITERIA Experience in a similar role or business development, particularly establishing and managing industry relationships. Excellent customer service skills and experience. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet targets and achieve deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills. High level of written and oral communication skills. Eligible to work full-time in Australia. High-level computer literacy and experience using IT systems including Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams). Either hold or are willing to complete TAE40116 - Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
