About the role We are excited to offer a unique position for a Clinical Nurse RN who is passionate about learning and growth. This part-time, fixed-term role spans 3 months, with the potential to relieve full-time or extend. You’ll be an essential part of our team, working in areas you love while gaining specialised knowledge in Infection Prevention and Control. About us Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport. With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology. As an Infection Control Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include: Collaborate with the Infection Control Coordinator, transitioning from guided to self-directed responsibilities in Infection Prevention & Control practices. Develop an understanding of risk management strategies to protect patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a healthy environment. Ensure the hospital meets standards, complies with regulations, and strives for continuous improvement. Implement infection control programs to ensure high-quality patient care and staff safety. Utilise external Infection Control Consultants (HICMR) to enforce policies and procedures. Assist with Infection Control education and staff health programs. Minimum Requirements: Authority to Work in Australia Working with Children check (if relevant) Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement Self-motivated with strong teamwork abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proactive, motivated, and customer-focused Why Healthscope?
