This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently conducting data reconciliation and other information management duties to ensure the reliability and integrity of the information contained within the Queensland Master Patient Index. The successful candidate will use analytical skills to review and investigate patient demographic data discrepancies. Role responsibilities: Assess and analyse data from multiple sources to ensure the integrity of the demographic data of Queensland Health patient records to support patient safety. Follow up on investigations and outstanding requests in a timely manner. Process reports daily to assist with assessing the accuracy and integrity of patient demographic data. Use Queensland Master Patient Index software for patient matching purposes to ensure accuracy and integrity of state-wide information. Manage, resolve and respond to queries from Hospital Health Services (HHSs) regarding patient demographic and patient matching matters via ServiceNow, email and phone. Adhere to the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour while dealing with confidential patient information. Build and maintain relationships with the unit and organisation through interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with all staff. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Ability to acquire knowledge of information management policies, standards and practice and their contribution to health service delivery. Ability to acquire knowledge and skills in the maintenance of patient demographic data including tools and techniques to assist with analysing the integrity of data in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to work in a team environment and maintain effective relationships. Demonstrated ability to plan duties/tasks, both individually and as a member of a work group, to achieve outcomes in required timeframes.
