THIS POSITION IS BASED IN KENSINGTON APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON WEDNESDAY, 5 FEBRUARY 2025 We currently have an opportunity for an Information Release and Privacy Coordinator to join our team. The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) has information governance obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (FOI Act), the information sharing provisions of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 (BC Act), and other legislation. This role provides a central coordination service to ensure that these obligations are met, and that DBCA staff are aware of their responsibilities in matters relating to freedom of obligation, privacy, and information sharing. At DBCA, we have adopted Leadership Expectations which provides a common understanding of the mindsets and expected behaviours required of all our employees and the public sector. In this role, you will demonstrate Personal Leadership to help drive positive change. Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than two (2) pages in total. Significant experience with, and knowledge of, information release and sharing processes, procedures and protocols, including the Freedom of Information Act 1992 . Highly developed research and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure to achieve deadlines with competing priorities. Highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, with experience liaising with a variety of clients and/or stakeholders to achieve objectives. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including experience in preparing high-level correspondence for a wide range of stakeholders.
