NXTGIG Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Information Systems Security Manager NXT GIG is on the lookout for an accomplished Information Systems Security Manager to oversee our organization's information security efforts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and protocols that protect our systems and data from threats. You will lead a team of security professionals, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will be essential in identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing our security posture through continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain information security strategies, policies, and procedures Lead and mentor a team of security analysts and engineers to ensure effective security practices Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify and address risks Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and coordinate remediation efforts Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and compliance across all systems Stay informed about emerging security threats and update strategies accordingly Report to senior management on the status of information security initiatives and risks Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field Extensive experience in information security management, preferably as an Information Systems Security Manager Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing and guiding diverse teams Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or similar) are highly preferred Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
