Who You Are You’re a detail-oriented and highly knowledgeable Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with a strong foundation in managing the security of information systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating cybersecurity risks. With expertise in risk assessment, security policies, and incident response, you excel at maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. What You'll Do In the role of Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), your duties will include: Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes leading to successful Authority to Operate decisions across multiple platforms. Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments. Perform key cybersecurity analyses and use technical risk management principles to assess Air Force Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems. Review program documentation (e.g., concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency/change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained. Perform document review and editing, as requested. Support, coordinate, and assist with Program Management/Milestone driven events, etc., including Program Protection requirements as requested. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen. Must Possess a US TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance. Possess a BS/BA Computer Science degree, or a related Cybersecurity field with 5 years of experience. Must possess an IAM/IAT Level II certification. Familiarity with DoDD 5205.07 (Vol 1-4), DoDIs 8500.01 & 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, JSIG, and RMF. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree. IAM/IAT Level III certification. Prior performance in role as ISSO. Experience implementing RMF for DoD weapons systems. Experience in developing Cybersecurity products e.g. System Security Plan (SSP), Architecture Analysis Report (AAR), Security Assessment Report (SAR), Risk Assessment Report (RAR). This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
