Save Infrastructure Accountant Infrastructure Accountant role for State Government Department, temporary contact basis.Your new company Our State Government Department based in Perth is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Accountant to join their team and assist with their fixed assets.Your new role Ensure capital project accounting and asset accounting comply with the Financial Management Act 2006, Financial Regulations, Treasurer's Instructions, Australian equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards, and other related legislation, as well as internal policies and procedures. Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Financial Management Act 2006, Financial Regulations, Treasurer's Instructions, Australian equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards, internal policies and procedures, and other related legislation. Record and maintain data in the FMIS related to fixed asset additions, cost adjustments, disposals, and write-offs in the fixed asset register. Maintain data integrity in the financial assets system and interfaced systems. Undertake end-of-period processing activities and reconciliation of the FMIS - Asset Module and GL module, generating necessary GL journals for new, depreciated, transferred, and disposed assets. Support the depreciation processes for all fixed assets on a monthly basis, prorating depreciation across outputs and reviewing changes to standard depreciation rates. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. What you'll get in return A competitive hourly rate of $64.82 per hour. An immediate start. Temporary contract basis with possibility of extension. On-site parking.
