Job Reference: 964974 Are you an experienced leader with a passion for sustainable development and strategic planning ? Curtin University is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage key infrastructure projects that align with our long-term vision. This is an essential role for the continued safe and efficient operation of the critical infrastructure that supports the operation of the University campuses. As the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development and operational management of Curtin’s high-voltage (HV) power network. Your role will involve providing expert guidance, leading project teams, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting the University's commitment to a “Green Star Community” and sustainable infrastructure development. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist advice on infrastructure planning to assist with the development of the University’s Strategic Asset Management Plan and ensure alignment with the Greater Master Plan. Oversee the operational requirements, maintenance, and lifecycle planning of the high-voltage (HV) power network . Ensure safety, risk mitigation, and compliance with HV network regulations . Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and statutory authorities . Oversee procurement, contract negotiations, and budget management for major engineering infrastructure projects. Represent the University in discussions and decision-making related to planning, building, and contractual matters . Who we are looking for: Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Management experience and/or a demonstrated understanding of High Voltage (HV) distribution networks and HV switching programs . Strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams and drive performance. Proven experience in capital works and infrastructure project management . The ability to influence and negotiate to achieve strategic objectives. Strong financial acumen and experience in contract management . A track record of developing strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Role Requirements: As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role. Visa sponsorship will not be offered however interstate relocation may be supported.
