The Role In this role, your key responsibilities include: Financial and Commercial Advisory : Provide strategic advice on major infrastructure projects led by government and public-purpose organisations across a range of sectors, including developing funding and financing strategies and evaluating different delivery models. Financial Analysis and Modeling : Build and review complex financial models to assess project feasibility, funding options, and value for money. Transaction Management Support : Execute and coordinate procurement processes and documentation, including negotiating and finalising project and financing documentation. Market Research : Conduct research on publicly available project assumptions, delivery partners, competitors, market trends, and regulatory environment. Proposal Delivery : Assist in preparing client proposals by collaborating with other internal teams and conducting background research. Project Reporting : Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project updates and outcomes effectively to the client stakeholders at various levels. Stakeholder Engagement : Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project delivery workstreams, clients, subcontractors, and delivery partners. Team Leadership : Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their contributions align with client objectives. Technically, you will bring to the position: A desire to work collaboratively with Government and for public purpose entities on projects that shape Australia’s future and making a difference for the people of Australia. Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in advisory, project finance, investment banking, private equity, or Government. An understanding of Government and Government procurement processes, in particular the development and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across a range of sectors (education, housing, energy transition, healthcare, precincts and place making etc.). Excel modelling competency to assess project feasibility, funding and financing options, sensitivities, and undertake scenario analysis. Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse client and internal stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver high-quality reports and presentations. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as finance, real estate / property, economics, business, commerce, engineering, law or equivalent relevant industry experience.
