About the opportunity The Injury Management Coordinator reports to the National WHS Manager and is part of the greater People Safety Culture team. The key focus of this role is to oversee the effective management of workplace injuries, ensuring timely rehabilitation, return-to-work (RTW) outcomes, and compliance with workers’ compensation legislation. More specifically, you will: Coordinate and manage the immediate response to workplace injuries, including initial assessments and medical care referrals Facilitate individualised return-to-work plans for injured workers, ensuring alignment with medical advice and workplace requirements Maintain regular communication with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate recovery and workplace reintegration Oversee RTW plans, ensuring worker compliance, escalating non-compliance or other issues as necessary Develop and provide reports on injury management statistics, including trend data, and relevant benchmarks Manage injury management and return to work records ensuring all claims are up to date and accurate Lodge claims with insurers ensuring initial notifications are lodged within reporting timeframes Keep up to date with legislative developments related to workers compensation and injury management nationally About you You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will demonstrate: 3+ years’ experience working in similar Injury Management or RTW role Cert 4 in Personal Injury Management and each state RTW Coordination qualifications Knowledge and experience in Lost Prevention Recovery (LPR) and Conventional workers compensation models. Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, negotiate and consult effectively with key stakeholders Problem solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to resolving RTW matters in a consultative manner Ability to work within a team and autonomously with the abilities to meet deadlines Interested?
