About the role Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing solar installers with excellent customer service through one or more of the following channels – telephone, email, social media, SMS, customer portals and customer & service order administration Diagnosing incoming support requests / enquiries and be able to record, action and provide appropriate information back to the installer, while striving to provide solutions for installers at the first point of contact Developing and maintaining expertise with industry standards for solar connections and become familiar with the installation procedures of the major solar invert manufacturers Working collaboratively with other AusNet teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive change throughout the workplace Actively participating in cross-training to respond to diverse levels of customer enquiries Remaining up-to-date with requirements and best practice relating to solar PV design and installations and identify potential changes when necessary to help ensure manufacturer and installer guidance is kept current Helping develop responses to frequently asked questions from installers and develop best practice guidelines About you You don’t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Customer services expertise from within a call centre style environment Proven operational experience within the new energy & renewables industry, including knowledge of the Distribution network – experience working with, for, or as a solar installer would be beneficial Experience of working directly with installers, providing pre-approval and installation support and advice on solar PV design and installation requirements and standards Helping train and upskill other team members in the solar installation industry, installer ways of working, best practices and common issues Proven ability to learn and apply technical knowledge in either electrical, internet connectivity or information technology domains Willingness to learn and become capable on a variety of different IT systems Ability to leverage relationships with all stakeholders in a diverse and changing environment for positive customer and business outcomes You are self-motivated, a natural problem solver, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and a customer-first approach.
