Instructional Leader – Teaching & Learning (Vic Curriculum) – (Geelong) Type: Fixed Term Role: Position of Leadership Hours: Full-time Closes: 10-03-2025 About the role Saints College, Geelong is seeking an experienced Instructional Leader – Teaching & Learning (Vic Curriculum) to join their school community. Since 2012, Saints College has led the way in radically inclusive education, supporting students with diverse challenges. We are an inclusive school for 12–25-year-olds seeking an alternative to mainstream education. Our environment celebrates all abilities and backgrounds, providing transformative learning experiences catering to individual needs. The young people we serve often face significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal, or familial challenges, which demand unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation by Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices. The Role: We are looking for a full-time Instructional Leader – Teaching & Learning (Vic Curriculum) to join our team at Saints College, Geelong. This role is supported by the Program Director – Teaching and Learning at Saints College and will require an instructional leadership and coaching approach to bring about growth for teachers. They will model and observe classroom practice to support reflection and conversation about practice leading to professional growth and the full flourishing of every young person enrolled. This position will contribute to improving quality teaching, learning, and support across the campus in a manner consistent with the strategic plan, vision, mission, and values of Saints College. You will be employed as an ongoing Teacher, with a Position of Leadership (POL) allowance for a 3-year fixed term period, commencing in Term 2 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. You will need: Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal, and Honesty. Tertiary qualifications in Education. Hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Hold appropriate Australian Working Rights. Have outstanding classroom teaching skills and the capacity to support colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning. Current knowledge of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM), Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), and Victorian Curriculum requirements regarding assessment and reporting. Understanding of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 would be an advantage. Upper primary and middle school experience and leadership is welcomed. The ability to inspire and engage young people.
