Job Description - Insurance Compliance Lead (2500003S) Job Number: 2500003S About the role At RACQ, we’re good people doing good things, making a positive impact every day, with opportunities to learn, grow, and be more. We are seeking a motivated individual to support the Manager of Insurance Compliance and the broader Compliance department in delivering a robust second line of accountability (2LOA) compliance function. This role will play a key part in ensuring RACQ meets its legal and regulatory obligations while aligning with strategic goals and the agreed risk appetite. Incorporate regulatory obligations, member insights and data to ensure appropriate controls are put in place to optimise all and any inadvertent impact to member experience. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative and effective professional relationships with key stakeholders across the Insurance business and the RACQ Group more broadly. Collaborate with other GRAC functions (e.g. Privacy Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance and Risk etc) to ensure consistency of applicable processes, ongoing information sharing and other relevant activities. Role model and influence a mature compliance risk culture within Insurance, leading by example and embedding appropriate independent and critical thinking in relation to compliance. Manage, draft and provide accurate and timely advice on assigned compliance obligations including General Insurance Code of Practice, AFSL Responsible Manager requirements, and regulatory compliance reporting. About you Legal, compliance, risk or insurance experience relevant to regulated financial services entities and corporate groups, with sound knowledge of compliance policies and processes. Demonstrated capacity to interpret and apply regulatory compliance requirements in the business, staying informed of changing regulations. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in writing professional reports and conducting assurance activities within the financial services industry. Ability to adapt and comprehend rapid digitisation and technology change in financial services, with excellent problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment. Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in an agile and complex environment. Why join RACQ?
