All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund.About the role As an Insurance Reporting Data Analyst at Cbus, you will focus on designing and delivering insurance data analysis and dashboard reporting to support business decisions. Your role involves conducting routine and ad-hoc analysis on superannuation insurance claims, sharing insights with business units to improve member experience, and ensuring data quality and accessibility. You’ll work independently, engage with key business functions, and collaborate with other analysts to provide valuable insights and regulatory reporting, helping Cbus operate as a data-driven fund.Key Accountabilities Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports for insurance claims Conduct deep dive analysis and liaise with stakeholders to identify key metrics Analyse claims trends to uncover service opportunities and areas for improvement Ensure data quality and develop a data dictionary in line with regulatory standards Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate business requirements and insights effectively What will you bring? Technical Skills Proficiency in Power BI with proven experience in Data Modelling, DAX and Power Query. Advanced SQL skills for querying large, complex datasets from AWS Redshift, Spectrum, and SQL Server. Technical proficiency in analytics data platforms and tools including but not limited to Python/R and Data Grip. Solid experience in Data Integration and ETL processes Professional Competencies Experience in data analytics, preferably within Superannuation or Financial Services or Insurance. Good knowledge of insurance claims handling, regulations and challenges in superannuation or related environments. Strong problem-solving, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to convey findings in clear, non-technical terms. Tertiary qualification in numeric or business disciplines. Data Analytics & Reporting Experience managing and analysing large datasets across multiple sources. Proficient in identifying business use cases, interpreting data results, and delivering actionable insights. Skilled in building Power BI dashboards and working with data warehouses and CRM systems. Stakeholder Engagement Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-aligned reporting solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
